Pretty good and authentic Tex Mex cuisine. I definitely enjoyed the cheese enchiladas in the red sauce. The kids meal options were great. They offer a substitute of black beans in case you don't like refried beans. The staff was super friendly and willing to answer any questions about the menu. The place itself was clean and in a good quiet location.

Best taco ever!! And great service! Love this place! The steak taco especiales is so filling, fresh and so reasonable also.

I went in here for the first time today and ordered a shrimp quesadilla. It was delicious. Super nice staff at the register taking orders. Fast service. I look forward to going back.

Tasty breakfast burrito, but not for 17 bucks! Thats high even for Orinda. Not to mention that we ordered a burrito with chicken that had no chicken. After chatting with the manager on this platform I decided to return for lunch and giving them another star for their shrimp burrito. BB

What a hidden gem. We stopped here on the way to golden gate live steamers & so glad we did. Very family friendly customer service and vibe there. Everything was so flavorful and came out fast. We were there in the morning and got the huevos rancheros over easy with steak, the massive carne asada breakfast burrito and the kids quesadillas. Everything was tasty and the staff didn't care that my two year old was bopping around while we ordered and waited for food to come out. If we're in this area again, we'd stop in for bite.

Baja Cali was a good spot for my coworkers and I to get some grub. We arrived at about 12 noon. We snagged the last table. It is like a typical fast food restaurant where you order at the counter first, then they bring the food out to you at your table. It is a good old school type of Mexican place that serves chips and salsa with every meal for dine in customers. I'm not sure what if take out customers get chips. The birria tacos I ordered were good. The tortilla was fried giving the taco a little crunch. The birria was tender, moist, cheesy and scrumptious. I enjoyed my tacos. My coworkers liked the burritos they ordered. It was a good spot for us.

This place always has seating. I enjoy eating here. It has classic charm. You can order to-go or dining hall. I like both the service and the experience. It is right across from and/or diagonal to the Orinda Public Library. And next to the UPS store. You can't miss it! (2023) Comfort food category, for sure!!
